Mother Nature Strikes on the Weekend
Inside Edge helps National Retailer recover from storm damage and resume normal business activities.
A national retailer was at a loss when a tornado struck their 80,000 sq. ft. facility on a Saturday afternoon. The tornado tore a hole in the roof and the side of the building, leaving significant damage throughout the store. The customer needed to get the damage cleaned up as soon as possible so they could resume business and return a sense of normalcy to the devastated town. They turned to Inside Edge, their preferred flooring vendor.
Inside Edge sprang into action and coordinated a team of 19 installers to arrive on the project Monday evening and begin work in coordination with a disaster recovery team. Utilizing two crews working in 12-hour shifts, Inside Edge worked 72 consecutive hours to demo and install over 7,000 square feet of carpet throughout the store.
Thanks to the quick work of Inside Edge, disaster recovery teams and individuals from the community, the store re-opened in less than one week. This significantly reduced the retailer’s expectations of lost store revenue and was able to return a sense of normalcy to the shaken community.
